2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 3/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 stick butter or 8 tablespoons or 1/2 cup, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup sour cream
Cook bacon, drain, crumble and set down. In a deep mixing bowl speed together with the flour, baking powder, ground mustard, salt, pepper, shredded cheese, and half the crumbled bacon.
Divide in butter till the mix resembles coarse crumbs. mix eggs in a small pan with a fork, combine eggs and onions along with sour cream. Mix well with a spoon till the dough is wet and forms a pill in the bowl.
Put dough on a sprayed baking sheet and press with hands into a round circle about 1/2 inch thick. Spray on remaining crumbled bacon and kind of press into dough. Cut dough into 8 triangles.
Bake in a preheated 400-degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes until cooked on top. Tenders 8 scones. Enjoy!
